Theatre Maker

About Me
Hello Everyone and welcome to my page! I am a recent graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a BA in theatre. "Caring, Spunky, Hard-Working" are some words that my friends and family use to describe me... and they aren't wrong. I may have grown up in a small town in central Pennsylvania but that does not mean I have a small heart. In fact, I wear my heart on my sleeve and that means I put heart in everything I do. I love doing things for others and making people happy which is one of the reasons why I love theatre. No matter how I am involved in a show it brings me so much joy to see the audience laughing and even crying as they experience the story so many of my colleagues and I have worked hours upon hours on. Seeing that makes every second of every show worth it.
Highlighted Experiences
For the past few years I have been working hard to learn as many areas of the theatre that I possibly can. Growing my love for the craft in every area so I can be the best theatre maker that I can possibly be.

Worked alongside the director Rick Kemp and the rehearsal team. Lead warm-ups with the actors before each rehearsal and show and learned by observation and conversations on everything it takes to be a director of a large production. This production was invited to perform at the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival Region 2 January 2020.

Labels is a play about breaking free of stereotypes and forming healthy relationships. It was performed as a part of The Acorn Project where students get to learn about developing their own work along with fellow students. I learned the most about collaboration and communication before, during, and after the production.
Film and Voice Over
Fractures
I also have experience with film and voice acting. To the right is the poster for a student-written short film called Fractures. I played the part of Ellie, a teenage girl that uses her passion for photography to help herself come to terms with the chronic illness that she and her mother have. Filming took place during the 2016/2017 school year through the Student Film Association of the Communication Media department of Indiana University of Pennsylvania. I am also currently working on a minor in communications media with a focus in photography.

"We must all do theatre, to find out who we are, and to discover who we could become."
